The superheroes are back in Prime Video's latest series of Invincible. The popular comic book, written by Robert Kirkman, turned TV series, is now in its third season. Invincible Season 3 sees the return of all your favourite characters and villains, showcasing an endless variety of powers. The series continues the high-quality animation that has defined it from the start.
Mark Grayson is back on Earth with his newly discovered brother and follows Mark as he takes on new responsibilities, questions who he can trust, and struggles to balance his relationships with his superhero duties.
So far, the first six episodes (as that’s all I’ve seen) have been an absolute blast. Most episodes introduce new, interesting heroes and villains who, across all seasons, have kept the show feeling fresh and unique—especially compared to other superhero content that has contributed to fatigue in the genre. The animation style continues to impress, giving the characters a distinct glow on screen. In fact, without this animation style, some of these wacky characters might not work as well as they do.
A series of events progresses throughout the episodes, giving Mark a more sinister edge. With more family and a relationship to protect—and trust issues with Cecil—Invincible, though seemingly more powerful than ever, has plenty to overcome. This adds great depth to his character, as we see him outside the walls of the Guardians for the first time, journeying into the man he wants to become.

Without diving into too many spoilers, we see the return and creation of villains from Invincibles' past. This inevitably allows the series to be quite creative with the fight scenes they showcase. Superheroes are everywhere in this universe, providing plenty of entertaining action that looks fantastic in this animated format.
Episode 6 ends on a wickedly devilish cliff-hanger, and I, for one, cannot wait to see the concluding two episodes of this latest season. Invincible Season 3 continues to blend good storytelling, great characters, and eye-popping animation. Forget superhero fatigue—this season, and all that came before it, is more than worth the watch.
