January 5, 2026

January brings a packed slate of must-watch TV and film across Sky’s channels and NOW, from brooding original drama and fantasy premieres to returning favourites and major movie debuts on Sky Cinema. Under Salt Marsh

Sky Atlantic - January 30

Under Salt Marsh is a limited series from writer and creator Claire Oakley, set in the fictional Welsh town of Morfa Halen, a tight-knit community caught between towering mountains and an encroaching sea.

As a once-in-a-generation storm gathers offshore, former detective turned teacher Jackie Ellis (Kelly Reilly) discovers the body of her eight-year-old pupil, Cefin, reigniting the town’s darkest wound: the unsolved disappearance of Jackie’s niece three years earlier, a case that ended her career. Cefin’s death draws Jackie’s former partner, Detective Eric Bull (Rafe Spall), back to Morfa Halen, and as they investigate a community that failed them both, they become convinced the cases are linked, racing to uncover long-buried secrets before the storm breaks and the evidence is lost forever.

A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg.

Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.

Matlock - Season 2
