STUDIOCANAL Presents returns in February with a diverse line-up of films and a mini-series that spans classic cinema, acclaimed drama and modern genre chills. From Luc Besson’s mythic deep-sea adventure to award-winning performances, powerful literary adaptations and an eight-part historical epic, there’s something for every kind of film fan to dive into this month.


The Big Blue (1988)

Luc Besson’s award-winning mythical Mediterranean adventure, inspired by the life of legendary diver Jacques Mayol, starring Jean Reno (Leon), Jean-Marc Barr (Red Siren)and Rosanna Arquette (Holy Lands).


The Fallen Idol (1948)

A BAFTA-winning classic based on a Graham Greene story, starring Ralph Richardon (The Passionate Stranger) as a butler suspected of murder, directed by Carol Reed, a year before he would team up with Greene again for The Third Man.



The Ice Storm (1997)

Ang Lee’s critically-acclaimed drama starring Kevin Kline (Chaplin), Joan Allen (The Bourne Supremacy, Manhunter) and Sigourney Weaver, who won the 1998 BAFTA for Supporting Actress for her role.


Sting (2022)

A pet spider runs amok in a New York apartment building in this fiendishly frightening chiller directed by Kiah Roache-Turner (Wyrmwood), starring Alyla Brown as a young girl who is the only person who can stop ‘Sting’.


Gervaise (1956)

René Clément (Plein Soleil) adapts Emile Zola’s novel The Drinking Den, for this powerful, poignant film about a hard-pressed laundry worker (Maria Schell, The Magic Box) who struggles with her alcoholic husband.


World Without End (2012) - TV Series

Ben Chaplin, Cynthis Nixon, Peter Firth and Miranda Richardson lead the all-star cast in this magnificent eight part historical mini-series based on the bestseller by Ken Follett (The Pillars of the Earth).
