Synopsis

Review
Right from the first meeting of Pitt and Clooney's characters (who are unnamed), the chemistry is reminiscent of Rusty (Pitt) and Danny (Clooney) in Oceans 11. Even the character traits are similar with Clooney's smug persona and Pitt with his snarky remarks. Their characters bounced off each other in a flawless fashion, in almost every scene it was like each one was trying to out do the other, and that goes for the acting too. There was an eager to impress, to gain the others recognition, and with this dynamic the two immersed you into to story-line.
As it goes, the story itself is a simple one, however this kind of story can often become over complicated. Wolfs lets you paint the picture of what may be occurring, and even hints at a wider conspiracy throughout (in the end this actually is the case, but the film doesn't dwell in this moment for long, and doesn't need you to understand it). The film moves from location to location, in a logical fashion, making it a fairly simple film to follow while spending time with these characters.
Wolfs provides plenty of comic relief, with what could be a serious story-line. Now Pitt and Clooney may provide much of this, and especially Pitt's character with his snide remarks, however there is a third member of this duo, another unnamed character, kid (Austin Abrams). We are first introduced to kid in a big way, a chase through the illuminated streets, in his underwear. The whole sequence was filled with laughs, with a true Tom & Jerry type feeling to it, Pitt and Clooney showed their age but their smarts prevailed. The addition of this character almost provides some humanity to the two main characters, where they'd normally be so cold and professional, they actually begin to build a genuine relationship as a trio, and this resonates on screen.
Seeing Clooney and Pitt back at the helm together is a welcome site. Wolfs is a fun encounter that lets these two powerhouses of Hollywood show their charisma. the story-line is entertaining moving at a great pace, the toing and froing between the characters is enticing, and under the lights of the city Clooney and Pitt shine bright.
