What We Know So Far
The plot of the 2025 Wuthering Heights film, based on Emily Brontë's novel and directed by Emerald Fennell, will follow the passionate and destructive relationship between the wild foundling Heathcliff (Jacob Elordi) and Catherine Earnshaw (Margot Robbie) in 18th-century Yorkshire. Catherine's decision to marry the wealthy Edgar Linton for social status, despite her deep love for Heathcliff, fuels his consuming bitterness and drive for revenge, a cycle of cruelty and suffering that impacts their children and the next generation.
