After that jaw-dropping Season 2 finale — complete with a wedding gone sideways, a murder confession, and Ginny once again questioning everything she thought she knew about her mother — Ginny & Georgia is back for a third season of twisty, witty, and wildly emotional storytelling. If you thought the Miller women were done unpacking their baggage, think again. Season 3 of the hit Netflix series doubles down on the drama, dives deeper into mental health, and reminds us why this mother-daughter duo remains one of the most compelling on our screens.

What Happened in Ginny & Georgia season 2?

In Season 2, tensions between Georgia and Ginny reached a boiling point. Ginny struggled with self-harm and the weight of knowing her mother had murdered to protect their family, while Georgia attempted to start fresh with her engagement to Paul. All while dodging secrets, ex-lovers, and investigators. The season ended with Georgia’s arrest at her wedding, just as things seemed to be settling down. It was a cliff-hanger that begged for resolution, and Season 3 wastes no time picking up the pieces.

What to expect in season 3:

Where Season 2 was about exposure, Season 3 is about consequences. Georgia (Brianne Howey) is now navigating life under scrutiny and Ginny (Antonia Gentry) is left trying to be the glue in a family that keeps cracking under pressure. The apple certainly doesn’t fall far from the tree.

The season deftly explores PTSD, forgiveness, alcohol abuse and the fear that maybe love isn’t enough to fix what’s broken. We see real growth in Ginny, whose character has evolved from reactive teen to reluctant adult, carrying burdens far beyond her years. When things keep going from bad to worse, Ginny is the one who takes what she has learned from her mother to save the day.

Meanwhile, Georgia’s unravelling is as captivating as ever — a Southern belle with a dark side that refuses to stay hidden. Georgia’s life takes one hard turn to another when she ends up being on trial for murder, accused of being a serial killer, her husband Paul leaving her and her baby daddies calling social services on her. It’s a lot across the episodes and each one is as compelling as the last. What I love about Ginny & Georgia is that their characters are incredibly flawed, but we root for them. They’re trying to survive, thrive and stay alive in the only way they know how and it’s creative and compelling.

The acting remains some of the best I have ever seen in what is a teen-drama series, with Felix Mallard having some extremely emotional moments, and standing out as a terrific actor.

The ending of the series might not be as dramatic as season 2, but it is still one that will keep audiences heavily invested. Will Austin's guilt eat him alive? Has Goergia really changed? Will Markus sort his alcohol abuse out? Plenty of questions we need answering - and quickly please Netflix.

Is Ginny & Georgia season 3 worth watching?

Yes. What sets Ginny & Georgia apart is its ability to mix serious storytelling with razor-sharp dialogue and character chemistry that never misses. Max, Marcus, Abby, and the rest of the Wellsbury gang each get more depth this season, and even the side plots (hello new romantic entanglements) feel more fleshed out than just filling out scenes.

Season 3 of Ginny & Georgia is a thrilling, heartfelt, sometimes messy ride — just like life with Georgia Miller. And with a final twist that sets the stage for even more drama, viewers will be begging Netflix not to put this southern family drama on its cancel list.
