As the nights get darker and Halloween season approaches, Shudder is ramping up the scares with brand-new originals, cult classics, and international horror discoveries this September. From immersive horror competitions to supernatural thrillers and returning icons like Michael Myers, September is packed with chills. Here’s your guide to what’s streaming on Shudder UK & Ireland this coming month.


September 1 – Classic Horror Arrivals

A slate of horror staples and fan favourites join the library:

  • Halloween (1978) – John Carpenter’s legendary slasher that introduced Michael Myers and changed horror forever.

  • Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) – A decade later, The Shape is back to terrorize his young niece.

  • Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989) – One year after the events of Part 4, Michael returns once more to hunt his family.

    Plus: Fans can also stream Joe Bob’s Halloween Hootenanny episode featuring Halloween, Halloween 4, and Halloween 5.

  • Re-Animator (1985) – Stuart Gordon’s cult splatter-comedy about mad science and re-animated corpses.

  • What We Do in the Shadows (2014) – Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s mockumentary following vampire flatmates dealing with chores, rent, and nightclub etiquette.


September 9 – Guts & Glory (Shudder Original Series)

From Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead, Creepshow) comes an all-new unscripted horror competition show that throws contestants into terrifying, immersive scenarios. Part horror film, part survival challenge, Guts & Glory blends special effects, unexpected twists, and raw fear into a brand-new kind of reality series.


September 19 – Night of the Reaper (Shudder Original Film)

In 1980s suburbia, one year after the brutal murder of a young woman by the “babysitter killer” known as The Reaper, her sister Deena returns home — just as the masked killer strikes again. When Deena agrees to babysit for the town sheriff’s son, the night spirals into shocking and bloody chaos.

September 22 – Indonesian Horror Double Bill

  • Perewangan – A terrifying tale of family curses, as siblings struggle against the generational wrath of the Perewangan Demon.

  • Pabrik Gula (aka Sugar Mill) – A group of sugar factory workers must survive supernatural forces rising against them in this atmospheric horror.


September 26 – House on Eden (Shudder Original Film)

Paranormal investigators Kris, Celina, and Jay expect a routine case, but when they’re lured to an abandoned house in the woods, they encounter a malevolent ancient force that begins to unravel them one by one.
